Techopedia Explains Bagbiter

The bagbiter term is rooted in coarse and colloquial slang not limited to the IT community. However, in certain instances, the term is used in specific technological contexts. For example, a frustrated consumer may describe the customer service arm of a major telecom company as a bagbiter.

A bagbiter is described as a person or program that has "caused some trouble," or something that doesn’t work or works poorly. For example, an IT professional may describe a bagbiter as a program that does not enable a stated user activity.

When used to describe a person, a bagbiter may imply that a person is not doing his or her share or is an incompetent programmer. It also may imply that someone is simply a nuisance in terms of process.
