Techopedia Explains Action Center

In Windows 10, the Action Center has been renamed “Security
and Maintenance.” Users can find this option on the taskbar. The utility allows users to change notification settings and make other changes to customize how they view the alerts. For example, users can identify annoying applications that throw up periodic messages, and go in and use the Action Center to disable certain kinds of updates that may interfere with their regular computer activities. Experts refer to the Action Center as a “persistent notification feature.”
